Pentecost is, in church history, the day in which the Holy Spirit filled the local gathering of believers and launched, with power, what we now call the local church. In this new series, Pentecost, we are going to take some time to explore the empowering presence of the most ignored person of our Triune God, the Holy Spirit. As God, the Holy Spirit has been present throughout all of the scriptural narratives; from the opening chapter in Genesis to the closing chapter of Revelation. Promised by Jesus, the Spirit was sent to be our Helper. In this series, we will explore what Christian doctrine calls “pneumatology” or the study of the Holy Spirit. Asking questions like; Who is the Holy Spirit? What is the role of the Spirit in the God-head? How do we rely upon His presence and power in our daily lives? Join us for a deeper understanding of the empowering presence of the Holy Spirit.
