Fire in My Bones: The Power of God’s Living Word

God’s Word: Alive and Powerful

The Word of God is not merely historical text; it is a living and dynamic force. In every challenge we face, this powerful truth sustains us and gives us the strength to stand firm. As Dr. Gregory emphasized, “Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God” (Matthew 4:1-4). These words are active, cutting through to the very core of our being, judging our thoughts and attitudes (Hebrews 4:12). When we live by this Word, we find that God has taken the strength out of our enemies.

Consistency Is My Superpower

Pastor also shared how consistency is his superpower and how it is crucial to unlocking God’s blessings. Consistency in our prayer and devotion helps us tap into the transformative power of God’s Word. It enables us to witness His blessings and overcome challenges, demonstrating that consistent obedience is key to experiencing the fullness of God's promises.

Intricately Made by God

God’s attention to detail is astonishing. Psalms 139:13-16 reveals how God knew us before we were even formed in our mother’s womb. Every bone in our body was fashioned with care, and our days were ordained before they even existed. This knowledge should fill us with a sense of purpose and joy, knowing that we are fearfully and wonderfully made by the Creator.

A Fire Shut Up in My Bones

There are moments when we feel weary, tempted to give up on our faith journey. Yet, just as Jeremiah experienced, there is a fire of grace within us that cannot be contained (Jeremiah 20:9). During the sermon when Dr. GreGory told us to raise our hands and ask God to scan these bones, our fire was reignited and passion to continue to live for the Lord.

Five Divine Declarations

Pastor also gave us five key promises from God that we were called to mix with faith:

  1. Sudden Restoration: God is restoring what was lost, and it will happen suddenly if we believe.

  2. Instantaneous Intervention: God steps in at just the right moment, turning situations around in an instant.

  3. Miraculous Resuscitation: Life is being breathed back into dead situations, just as it was for the man who touched Elisha’s bones (2 Kings 13:20-21).

  4. Extraordinary Recovery: What was taken or destroyed will be recovered in extraordinary ways.

  5. Emergency Revival: A powerful revival is coming that will renew and revive us in ways beyond our imagination.

Living on God’s Word

As we stand on the promises of God, we can boldly declare, “I shall not die, but live and declare the works of the Lord” (Jeremiah 29:11). God has taken the strength out of our enemies, and we are living on His Word. By remaining consistent in our faith and trusting in God’s work within us, we will produce the fruits of the Spirit, and no challenge will be able to overcome us.
