Welcome to Hope Assemblies Hope Blog, where we recap the powerful messages delivered by our pastor Dr. GreGory. Today's sermon recap, God's Got More!
The Uncertainty of the World
Pastor reminded us that in every breath we take and every step we make, we are standing on the sure foundation of God. In moments of weakness or when we find ourselves wandering through life's wilderness, He is our steadfast rock. Even when judgment comes, if we take accountability and humble ourselves, God has something transformative waiting for us—a chance to learn, grow, and move forward in His ways.
Beyond the Pages: God’s Limitless Blessings
One of the most striking images from the sermon compared our human limitations to the boundless nature of God’s blessings. “It would take more than four years to reach the next star traveling at the speed of light,” Dr. GreGory proclaimed, illustrating how far beyond our imagination God’s provision extends. The blessings God has in store for each of us go well beyond the limits of our human understanding. Pastor emphasized, God is bigger than your Bible; His work is not limited to the pages. When you surrender to God, He will blow your mind with wonders far beyond your wildest imagination.
Listening to God and Doing It His Way
A recurring theme throughout the service was the importance of listening to God and following His direction. The metaphor of a ship’s starboard—the side that is always right—reminded us that when we choose God’s path, we align ourselves with what is eternally true and right. When we stray from His guidance, we may find ourselves navigating a wilderness of our own making. Yet, even in those challenging moments, there is opportunity for growth. When you actively confront the man or woman in the mirror and allow God to transform you from within, you can turn to your neighbor and say: "You'll have to go around me, my blessings have taken up all the space. What God has done for me is not off the chain, it's off the page".
A Vision for Tomorrow
The sermon was not just a reflection on the present but also a declaration for the future. Dr. GreGory spoke powerfully with the word "I speak tomorrow into your life", urging us to prepare for the next phase. As you continue your journey in faith, hold fast to these truths: you are friend of God. Go forth living in confidence that God is doing exceedingly, abundantly above all that you can ask or think. Go in peace.
